Dearest family,

So I made it here to the island! It was pretty amazing the trip here. Too bad I can't send you guys more pictures. I would recommend that you get a gmail account because I could send you more than 12 pictures at a time. But I'll send you guys some good ones. Anyways so we took off on a tiny little 6 passenger plane and flew over santiago and out into the ocean. It took about 3 hours to get here. But the best part was the landing. So the airstrip is on the other side of the island on top of a little clif edge. When we were approaching the airstrip, it looks like its tiny and the plane's not gonna be able to stop before it falls off the other side haha. But it landed and stopped pretty fast because its a tiny plane. Then we had to walk down to the sea, where there were a ton of seals. I got some good pictures of them. We took a little motor boat for about an hour and a half to the other side of the island where the people live. The island is amazing! Its one of the most beautiful places. The members here take care of us well. We've eaten fish for almost every meal but its all fresh and awesome. Yes we have a little house with a bathroom and everything. Its actually a lot nicer than the apartment in Lo Prado. We ate some raw lobster and it was really good! No I haven't gotten sick. The only thing that is annoying are the mosquitos, but we have them under control now. Wow I have a ton to say but not much time. So I found out the all of those people we were teaching got baptized yesterday except for one that found her membership of the church. We had our meeting yesterday in the branch president's home. It was the first time. 16 people showed up to church which is actually a good attendance. We are teaching a family of 3 and we had an amazing lesson yesterday. Everything about the island is amazing. Today we're going to climb the hills and take a lot of pictures.

Anyways, its nice to hear from you guys. I love you guys a ton and miss you a lot. I'll send more pictures next week if you get a gmail account. Anyways, thanks for the information on the island. Chao,

Dearest Family,

Ok first of all I will answer your questions mom haha. So our flight got delayed because of mantenance. We are leaving tomorrow morning at about 8. So we still worked this week here in Lo Prado 2 and we saw a lot of miracles too but I'll talk about that later. No its not true that flights only come in and out in April and October. I'll probably be there between 3 and 6 months but I won't finish my mission on the island. About taking out money, I'm not sure. The mission office is going to worry about that but I won't have to spend my own money out there. Yes its true that we do a lot of service on the island and I'm sure we'll be helping the people rebuild a bit. But there are more than 6 people that are just waiting to be baptized so we're pretty sure we will see a lot of success out there. Yes there is drinkable water there. About the toilet, who knows haha but it would be more fun if there isn't an indoor toilet. Don't worry about the tsunami. If ones coming they have a siren on the island and we will be notified. I'm not sure how the groceries work but I think the members are going to provide basically everything and the mission helps them out. We will see. We basically are going to eat lobster, crap, shellfish, and lots of fish! Yes there is phone service so don't worry about your mother's day call. Yes you can send packages and mail but I'm not sure how long it will take to get to me and most likely packages will stay in the office until I get back but letters just get to the island.

Ok I think I covered about all of it. So next week I'll send you guys a lot of pictures of the island and everything. I sent you guys a lot of pictures from the families we are teaching and from the ward. This week has been amazing. We have been teaching a ton this week. We have 5 people that are in fase 3, which means that they have everything and are ready to get baptized next week. Elder Coats and Elder Petersen will take care of them this week. They are going to be the only 2 missionaries in the ward now. If you guys could pray for them this week that would be great. Their names are... Evelyn Rodriguez, Lissette Rodriguez, Alejandro Garrido, Cristian Soto, and Daniela Molinas. They are so amazing. Even though I won't be there for their baptism, I'm so grateful to have gotten to know them and taught them. I've learned to love all the people I come to know.

Anyways, thanks for the letter. I hope everything goes well with all the wedding prep. I'll talk to you guys next week! ¡Les amo mucho!

PS Thanks for the weather info. If you guys send forecasts, that would make me happy!

Robinson Crusoe Island

Dearest family,

We heard about the earthquake in Japan this week. Everyone was talking about it. Its pretty sad but I guess those are signs of the times. Hopefully it plays a big role in bringing about the salvation of more of God's children. So sounds like you guys are gonna be getting used to such a large empty house.

Well first I'll tell you guys about this last week. So we actually had a good week! I love our investigators! We have three that are gonna get baptized in 2 weeks. I won't be here to see them baptized but I know that they will be wonderful members. Their names are Cristian, Daniela, and Evelyn. They are awesome. Also we're preparing some more people to get baptized in April. Ronald´s mom is gonna get married in the end of April I hope and soon after get baptized. We had some amazing experiences here with Elder Saenz. So last night President May called us and told me I was gonna get transfered. I didnt believe him at first but he told me I'm going to the Island Juan Fernandez/Robinson Crusoe. Its always been in our mission but its been closed since the tsunami hit it last february in the earthquake. Now I'm going there with Elder Bravo (a chilean missionary thats been in the mission for about 7 months). We're both here in Lo Prado until Friday when fly over to the island with President. It seems like its gonna be an adventure thats for sure! I've never been so anxious! But everything is going to be great. You guys can look it up on google. Its about 400 miles directly west of Santiago. Im not sure how everything works, if we get mail or what but I'll be able to write you guys next week and tell you. Yes we do have internet over there so don't worry. But I know that the Lord wants us over there at this time. There are quite a few people waiting for baptism so we'll be able to help them out. Seems like we do a lot of service over there. I'll send you guys a lot of pictures next week.

Well I don't have much else to say. I know you guys have a lot of questions but I'll inform you guys next week. Look up cool stuff about the island, history and stuff, to send me next week. Love you guys a ton! ¡Les amo muchísimo! Adónde me mandes iré Señor... a montañas o islas del mar!

Dearest family,

Thanks for the letter mother dear! Sorry I didn't wish you a Happy Birthday last week. I did think about you though! I hope you had an amazing birthday. Don't feel old now. You have a long ways to go until you're old haha. I think I'm gonna send you guys a package here soon. It'll probably get there around mother's day but I have some cool stuff I'm gonna send you guys. I've never heard of an e-reader... so basicaly you're looking at a screen reading the whole time? Thats pretty cool! Hey question, did you ever get to see of that necklace and earings of lapiz lazuli look good. The blue stone jewlery I sent you? Oh and thanks for the pictures of little Clay and Brandi. Thats very special. I can't believe that you guys are going to be empty nesters next week. Enjoy it while it lasts.

So this week was actually an awesome week. Some exciting things happened. First of all a pretty hilarious story. So we stopped by the church for a little bit to say hi to the Bishop and our investigator that went to mutual and he said... I have some bad news...(we had dropped off our clothes to get washed earlier that week). "Our stupid dog ate your clothes" He was only talking to my companion and not me... thank goodness. We both started laughing pretty hard. So my comp is a bit short on clothes this week haha. Funny stories from the mission. But we've had some really neat experiences. Well one investigator was supposed to get baptized this weekend but he's had problems getting off work to go to church and so he has to wait a little more. But we had our stake conference and we were able to bring two families there that are investigating the church. It was really great. We have a lot of progressing investigators. Looks like they're all gonna get baptized on March 17th. Next Monday we have changes so I'm hoping I'm still here to see them. We'll see, but I know that they're in the Lord's hands and He always keeps His part of the promise. We found some new investigators by just offering service in the doorstep. They let us in and we helped them a lot and taught a quick lesson about forgiveness which is what they needed from what they told us. And we're gonna visit them again on tuesday. So the Lord puts us where we need to be, and "the people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I love that phrase and I think I'm learning more and more about how to show my love towards other people everyday.

Well I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves each one of us. We can be clean if we just turn unto Him, with a singleness of heart and sight. Thanks for the positive letters also. I hope you guys enjoy all the blessings that you guys receive on a daily basis. I love you guys a ton. Les amo y espero que experimenten la paz que viene por medio de tener la mira puesta en la gloria de Dios. Cuíedense y chao,

Elder Webb
